Music Teacher - 3 Days Per Week - Part Time

The Sandyston Walpack Consolidated School District is seeking a qualified PK-6 Music Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year in a Part Time capacity three days day per week. As a member of our teaching staff, this educator will play a vital role in shaping the musical education and development of our students. 

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective weekly music lessons to students in grades PK-6

• Conduct Instrumental Music and Chorus instruction for elementary-age children

• Introduce students to fundamental musical concepts, instruments, singing, movement, and music appreciation.

• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to schedule instrumental music lessons

NJ Teaching Certification - Music Specialization required

Art Teacher - Two Days per Week - Part Time

The Sandyston Walpack Consolidated School District is seeking a qualified PK-6 Art Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year in a Part Time capacity two days per week. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire creativity and artistic expression in our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education, with the ability to engage students of varying skill levels and backgrounds. This role involves creating a supportive learning environment that fosters artistic growth and encourages students to explore their creativity through various mediums. 

Responsibilities may include:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective weekly art lessons to students in grades PK-6.

• Establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth.

• Develop students' interest, abilities, talents, and skills for artistic expression and creativity as well as understanding and appreciation by implementing district-approved curriculum.

Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate and Subject Area Endorsement or eligibility required.

Library Media Specialist/Technology/Enrichment Teacher

Sandyston-Walpack Consolidated School District is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to serve as a Library Media Specialist, Enrichment, and Technology Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This multifaceted role is integral to fostering a love for reading, enhancing information literacy, and integrating technology into our K-8 curriculum. This is a 10-month position.

Key Responsibilities

Library Media Specialist:

• Manage and curate the school’s library collection, ensuring resources are current, diverse, and aligned with district curriculum.

• Instruct students in effective and ethical use of information technology, including digital, visual, textual, and technological resources.

• Collaborate with faculty to integrate library resources into lesson plans and promote information literacy across grade levels.

Enrichment:

• Develop and implement enrichment programs that cater to diverse student interests and learning styles.

• Facilitate activities that promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Technology Teacher:

• Design and deliver technology instruction that enhances digital literacy and prepares students for the evolving technological landscape.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey School Library Media Specialist certificate is required.  Experience teaching at the elementary school level is preferred. 

• Demonstrated experience in library management, enrichment program development, and/or technology instruction.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and the community.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

This is a tenure-track position.

Sandyston-Walpack Consolidated School is seeking two passionate and dedicated Preschool Teachers to join our growing preschool program for the coming 2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have dual special education certification, though this is not required. This is a 10-month position.

Qualifications:

• NJ Preschool through Grade Three Certification

• NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities, preferred

• Experience working in a preschool classroom

• Proven strategies to differentiate instruction

• Innovation and creativity in lesson design

• Strong interpersonal skills; communicate effectively with parents and work collaboratively as part of a team

Paraprofessionals/Classroom Aides  - 25/26 School Year

Sandyston-Walpack Consolidated School is seeking caring individuals interested in working with children aged PreSchool and Kindergarten through Sixth Grade as a paraprofessional/classroom aide.

Part-time, Monday through Friday, 10-month position according to the Sandyston-Walpack Consolidated School calendar.​ Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support for individual or small groups of students

• Assist the teacher with classroom supervision

• Supervise students in the cafeteria and playground

• Support students with special needs
