🥎 Don't Miss It — Softball Opening Game Day is April 27th!
Dear SWS Community,
We have some incredibly exciting news to share — SWS has been awarded a $63,700 Local Recreation Improvement Grant through the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs!
We are proud to be one of 154 local governments selected statewide through a competitive application process, as part of a nearly $10 million initiative dedicated to improving recreational spaces across New Jersey. This funding will go directly toward revitalizing our outdoor facilities for the benefit of our students, families, and community for years to come.
Here is what you can look forward to:
🏗️ 16,000 Sq. Ft. Pavement Restoration
We will be making extensive repairs to our outdoor recess area and existing courts, creating a safer and smoother surface for our kids to enjoy.
🛝 New Play Amenities & Equipment
We are adding a "Jungle Pipeline," a communication board, a shaded area for our preschoolers, and a new picnic table for our amazing staff — giving our students more ways to play, connect, and relax outdoors.
🏀 Sports & Seating Upgrades
Two new adjustable basketball hoops will be installed, along with essential maintenance on our existing bleachers, making our courts ready for everyone to enjoy.
This is a tremendous achievement for our school and a testament to the strength of our community. We are so grateful for your continued support and look forward to sharing updates as this project comes to life.
Stay tuned for more information — and thank you for being part of the SWS family!
In Partnership,
Dr. Lisa Schleer & Ms. Brooke Phillips
The district has been successful in obtaining a $400,000 SDA Grant for the construction of two preschool classrooms, one of only 22 school districts in the state of NJ to receive this grant.
