5th Grade Immunization Information

On January 7th, 2008, new immunization laws became part of the New Jersey Administrative Law which will affect your children. Every child born on or after January 1, 1997, and entering or attending 6th grade in September, is required to receive the following vaccines:

- One dose of Tdap (Tetnus, Diphtheria, Acellular Pertussis)

- One dose of Meningococcal vaccine

Please contact your physician as soon as possible to get your child immunized. If your child has already received these vaccines, please provide documentation to the school nurse as soon as possible.

There may be no grace period for these vaccines, so please be sure to schedule an appointment with your doctor before the start of school.
